BDC stands for Batch Data Communication, BDC allows you to perform database updates in the background.
Please take help of ABAPer.
Frequency of this program should be daily so system will calculate inactive users and lock them on daily basis. Better to schedule this at night when the load is minimum on system.

There are more than one ways to connect to any non sap system.
1.you can write native SQL statements to read write third party system,but before that you have to create a DBCO connection and few settings at the third party system...like registering your application server IP etc.
using statements
1. Set Connection
2. EXEC.....END EXEC
2. Using Webservices.

You need to use Horizontal and Vertical Lines in Crystal Report. Then only it will came perfectly when we are exporting into Excel. Herewith I have attached the image file for your reference. In that, I have created a sample report design and Result in Excel. Try this same to your report and check it in excel.
Kindly note that, There is no gap between each feild . If it is a small gap between 2 columns, then we have 3 columns in Excel. Try this and revert back.

Hi MIcrofish,
It is a tool to display drawings/Images and recomanded for DMS .Very convinent tool to do slight changes on imege without third party software.
If you want to edit/display image in paint automatically please define path on loadreferences which is part in ECLviwer. Am not sure but we done same thing to display drawings through installed software like autocad, ProE ..

I think if you want to display down payments CJI3 report you need to check few things.
1) Is the project cash management is activated in the project .if the PCM is not activate the payments will not reflect in the project.
2) check WBS is maintained in the specified down payment request or not
