Do you have your backend SAP system properly configured (SXMB_ADM transaction)?
When you are sending something to PI using SPROXY-generated (or standard) objects, you actually execute a web service call.
Try to execute the "Connection test" in SPROXY transaction to check whether everything is correctly configured and you're able to access SAP PI and SLD.

Is this issue solved already? In order to analyze a similar case, the work process trace in which the signal can be seen in very helpfull. Most of the times, the C-STACK will be logged there and it has valuable information about what may have caused the problem.

You can void checks in liquidity management. Go to liqidity management -master data -my banks select account checks belong to under edit select bank accounts, select the desired account and go to the check lot tab, select the active check lot containing the damaged checks and "void unused checks".
System prompts you for number to void. Date and reason. Then hit ok and save.

I also faced a similar issue during upgrade. Some useful findings.
1. Only super user can access this /n/ASU/START
2. All the obligatory executable tasks are automatically performed by the system automatically during upgrade. SAPADM. Only errors (if any) are to be corrected.
3. Some of the tasks are only to go through some SAP notes as a precaution before upgrade.
4. Execute all the checks /n/ASU/UPGRADE
5. This surely can be skipped, but not advisable.

I am currently doing a test for exporting an application as an XML and importing it to another ECC system. I understand that the IDs for any BRFPlus Object like Functions or Elements is unique within that system and it is always generated by BRFPlus itself to avoid inconsistencies.
Should I be worried by a scenario where you export an Application and some of the elements IDs in the target system are in use (another rule was created there for example), resulting in error on the import? or this is somehow prevented?

You can give the object instance container element any name you want.
When the user clicks on the link (that is created when you instantiate a BOR object) then the default method for that object will be run. That is usually the Display method but you could possibly change it to something else, e.g Call Transaction.
