Hi Amit,

 

A solution is based on Logical Components, so, you can add/change/remove systems from solutions just by changing the assignment of those systems to the logical components that belong to the solution you are using.

 

It is important to notice that if you are using ChaRM, you should not make such changes while there are open ChaRM documents (Change Requests, Change Documents, Task Lists), otherwise they will become inconsistent. This happens because ChaRM documents are created based on the existing systems at the creation moment of these documents and will work until its completion considering that specific configuration of systems.

 

So, you have to follow a hierarchy:

- Solution has Logical Components

     - Logical Components have system roles

         - Systems are associated to Logical Components System Role's

     

There is no need to get rid of your current solutions. Actually it is not advised to do so, as there are many SAP Support services that are attached to the solutions. By deactivating a solution you would lose those services.

I do not think that

IW31 initial screen with Functional Location alone, would bring the only Equipment under the F/Locn also to the Reference Object  of the Order

is a standard behaviour.

 

Now please give pictures of

so that, by the time others join the discussion, full details are available.

Re: Class instantiation like BOR in Workflow

Instantiating a class is basically easy. You can for example create a new task/step in your workflow. In this task you call your own simple method (if there aren't any standard one available). In the method you just take the key as an input parameter, and then just use simple CREATE OBJECT statement to create the object instance, and then return/export this from the method. Now if you call this new method as a background task in your workflow, you can get the object instance in your workflow (you can perhaps do this already in the beginning of the workflow, so you will have the instance during the whole WF).

 

After saying this, I need to say that it might be a bit more difficult (I cannot check this class in my system to see the details), but in its easiest format, the above is really the only thing that is needed.

 

I would also like to confirm what Sandy said. Check also the alternative (easier?) solutions. If your aim is just to cancel the workflow, you can do it also other ways than using the terminating event.

Hello

 

Looks like the workflow WS01200151 do not support multiple approval. If you refer to the task TS01200196 - BOR PDRELA_025 method APPROVAL, you will notice that this step sets the approval to complete using FM 'HR_TEM_APPROVE_PDRELA_025'.

 

Now if you would like to have a mutiple approval, then you will have to use a normal Decision Task - BOR DECISION method Process with Approve and Reject outcome. You can use loop or parallel processing . Once all aprovals are done ; you can call FM 'HR_TEM_APPROVE_PDRELA_025' in a background step  to set the approval flag.

Avoid hitting Odata SQL queries several times from FIORI

Hello experts,

 

I have  build a FIORI app using local webide and backend SAP Odata. I have implemented Odata getentityset SELECT logic to fetch data and supply to my front-end fiori app. Its working fine and as expected.

My query over here is if I put a breakpoint to see how many times my SELECT is hit when I do a SEARCH operation on my frontend, I see that its getting hit several times. Hitting once when the entity set is loaded on the screen is undrstandable, but when we do the search, cant we just read the string arrays from the front-end/client entity set instead of going back to the SAP backend classes?

 

Any technique I should include here to read only from the loaded entity set, and if the string is not found, then go to back end to fetch it?

Depends on which steps you  are talking about. e.g. STMS 000. monitoring jobs 000, copy client at target client, etc.

Hi Tim,

 

We are using BO 4.1 SP5 and planning to implement Windows AD SSO. However the SAP notes states that the report scheduling won't work if we use SSO. Kindly help me if any alternative solution for this.

Installed data services - client components - designer (SAP BO Edge 3.1)  in Windows 7, but nothing appear after click data service designer ( the al_designer process appear in task manager for 2 seconds and then disappear), please help, thanks.

 

My pc already installed adobe flash player and .net framework 4.5.2.

Orders not getting released automatically from Maintenance plan

I have one more querry, where user is telling WO's are not getting automatically released for PM02 type order type from maintenance plans. I checked the config and it looks fine. I am expecting some issue with back ground job. can you please suggest me how to proceed in this.
