Upgraded NWDI to Stack SP 17 and now we cannot save in CM services after updating SCs

Hi,

I have patched our NWDI to NW 7.31 sp 17 and went to update the SCs in CM SERVICES - EDIT - SCHECK SCs. It updates but will not allow me to save. I get the following error (I x'ed out the URL contents).

 

Unable to save development configuration: Unexpected Exception java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException: Landscape directory change not allowed. (old landscape server:http://xxx.xxx.xxx.ca:5xx00/ new landscape server:http://http://xxx.xxx.xxx.ca:5xx00) in WebUI in case of CTS System existence. Global changes only allowed from within CTS STMS

 

I opened an SAP message and they came back with the note 1807994 - Changes in STMS not reflected in CM Services (NWDI).

 

I tried updating the CTS in our STMS per the note but the CM service in the NWDI still doesn't allow a save. No changes were made to the CTS before or after the patching.

 

Any ideas?

Hi Partick,

 

Even when generating the Time Data with SYSTEM user the generated time data is wrong in M_FISCAL_CALENDAR. Its not creating the Time Data as intended. T009B table has got the correct entries.

 

Did you get a resolution for your issue. If yes, could you pls. share the details.

Hi Sridhar,

 

Single sign-on to the BI platform means that once users have logged on to the operating system, they can access applications that support SSO without having to provide their credentials again. When a user logs on, a security context for that user is created. This context can be propagated to the BI platform in order to perform SSO.

    

     The term “anonymous single sign-on” also refers to single sign-on to the BI platform, but it specifically refers to the single sign-on functionality for the Guest user account. When the Guest user account is enabled, which it is by default, anyone can log on to the BI platform as Guest and will have access to the system

The previous version of the ticket has not been posted completely

Hi there

 

I need assistance to resolve the following issue:

1. User is trying to reverse the ticket

2. User gets the error, "The previous version of the ticket has not been posted completely"

3. I check in the ticket log and I see there was an issue when ticketing was actualized

 

How can user try to reverse a ticket when the ticket itself wasnt actualized in the first instance?

 

Please can someone advise me how to resolve this issue?

The PDF viewer is irrelevant. The reports are saved as PDF files that should be able to be opened in any PDF software.

 

The clients that are getting the PDF files are only reporting issues since mid January, and nothing has changed in the application, unless there have been updates to Crystal Reports that I am unaware of.

VBAK holds the header data and VBAP holds the item data, but I don't think that this is your problem.

Hi All,

 

I got it working , putting up what i did in order to get it working on device in case someone else faces same issue:-

 

1) As JK suggested adb devices in command  prompt list you the device is recognized or not my device was not listed there.

 

2) Go to Device Manager in the system check for you device .

 

3) Click on the device and check for the USB device driver for your device , yes the one which comes with sdk did not worked for my device. If the device shows and  " ! " mark means there is problem with your driver.

 

4) Search for the correct USB device driver download and install it .

 

5) Run adb devices again in command prompt your device will be listed there..:)

 

FYI --- For Android devices dont forget to turn on developer option and debugging mode on.

Ok Rupan I understand.  No unfortunately I'm still having same problem.  I could easily copy the results from my enterprise HANA landscape as a workaround (it works correctly there) but of course I don't want to do this, I want to understand why BW HANA time generation is not working properly.

yes i have now daily planned orders ,but i have one more issue :

when i run the MD02, the planned order generated exceed the available capacity per day;

example: my capacity is   200 hrs per day but the system generate daily planed order that takes 300 hrs .

Hi,

 

As both Local and group currency are GBP and the exchange rate ratio maintained 1 in OB08, is it possible in case to get different amounts in a document for both categories? There is a real exchange rate difference showing in the document , where both the currencies are GBP.

 

Please throw some light on this.

Hi Karthik,

 

Yaas/HCP are more related to hybris commerce related products.  For example, hybris loyalty is completely based on Yaas platform. 

 

SAP hybris Marketing(yMKT) is a NetWeaver/HANA based product so it follows more traditional SAP architecture.  As far as AWS is concerned for yMKT,  the vitural harware is provided by AWS and you could install yMKT on it. SAP admin/BASIS skill is needed to do this installation and without prior experience it will be not an easy task.  Please look into getting someone with SAP admin/BASIS experience so that they can set it up for you.

See the "Connectivity Service, Cockpit" part above.


It states that you can only use it with min. version 2.7.1 of Cloud Connector. Check if you're using the eligible version.

3 UDF will validate thru Stored Procedure

Dear Experts,

 

I have another favor for you, Please Help me i am new with regards to Query and also in Stored Procedure thats why your answer is a big help for my learning stage..

 

first i add 3 UDF in Sales Order

 

1. Exceeded_CreditLimit

2. user_currently_logged

3. a dropdown (Approval_Status) with the value of

          a) Null

          b) For Approval

          b) Approved

 

how can i make a script for stored procedure, that the system will allow only to add Draft sales order.


if exceeded_creditlimit fieldhas a negative value, so the value of  user_currently_logged is equal to 'AAA', 'BBB', 'CCC' and the value of Approval_Status is equal to 'Approved'.

 

if the exceeded_creditlimit field is not negative the system will allow the user to add Draft SO to SO. even user_currently_logged is not equal to 'AAA', 'BBB', 'CCC' and the value of Approval_Status is equal to 'Null'.

Sum of TINYINT values causes numeric overflow for not null column

Does anyone know why a null column is behaving differently from a not null column when summing values in a calculation view?

 

In my transaction table I have two record counters type TINYINT with always value 1. One counter is a NULL column, the other a NOT NULL column.
When I preview the data from the table I see the correct sum of close to 4 million records for both counters. However when I include this in a simple calculation view then I get the below numeric overflow error for the NOT NULL column. The NULL column gives the correct sum without an error.

I understand that the conversion to tinyint causes an error, just don't understand why only in case of a NOT NULL column.

By the way, I do expect a sum to not be limited by the data type of the column.

 

Error: [314]: numeric overflow: 3746903 at function to_tinyint()

Hello Daniel,

 

With respect to Sakthi's question, I also have a customer (a bank) who are interested in our Fleet Management Solution and seeking SAP advice on a preferred GPS tracking solution 3rd party vendor for seamless integration with the SAP system. In addition, we are also positioning our Transportation Management and Event Management solutions on top of the Fleet Management solution. Please find below my questions:

 

- How complete is the Fleet Management solution in S/4 HANA Enterprise Management on-premise solution?

 

- Is the implementation of TM necessary especially since the organization involved is a bank and your typical supply chain scenario where there is delivery of goods from one location to another, the fleet assets are mainly used for operational transporation of staff and bank executives. What will be the downside of not including TM in the BOM?

 

- Does SAP have any preferred 3rd party GPS Tracking solution that seamlessly integrates with SAP?

 

- Can you please highlight the benefit of having our EM solution on top of the proposed GPS tracking solution, what do the customer really gain from this integration?.

Hello Alfons,

 

the problem is that in a Universe scenario the Key and Text for a dimension are not the "same" object.

 

In a BW case you have a characteristic and there is a key and text (optional) in short, medium, long.

 

In a Universe there is a Dimension Object and there can be an Attribute below - but its not the same object.
