Re: Issue with a privilege on the package

Hi,

Nope. you need to set that at the package level. So go to package privileges, add the package you need and set at least that option (checkbox).

Re: Overriding the SAP B1 price priority

This option only works with Discount groups. Special prices currently overrides discount groups.

Even if i did use discount groups instead of special prices, the discount groups override the Qty and volume discounts too.

But thanks for the suggestion.

Hi Bjarne,

Do you apply EBF of SQL Anywhere version 12?

The EBF fixes many performance issue. Latest EBF is EBF4344 released on December 23, 2015.

Hi Abdel,

I am facing same issue with my Process. I am using automated activity to do a synchronous web service call. Message logs in PI displays JPR received response from messaging system but i don't see any response data in BPM.

Could you please suggest what changes have you done to overcome this.PI_Log.PNG

Re: SFTP Sender Channel To Pick multiple files with out ESR

Hi Vishnu

I don't understand why the insistence of having no ESR objects. Who places this restrictions? Sometimes the insistence of having no ESR object means you can't do any mapping, which leads to more complicated solutions like adapter module or scripts.

Anyway, to answer your queries.

1. Picking up multiple files

You can use the additional files feature in the SFTP channel. Configure one of the file as the main file and the other one as the additional file. For example, if Hdr as main file as Item as additional. You can configure as below so that when it picks up AI_Hdr_23022016.txt, it will look for an additional file with exactly the same name except Item replaces Hdr.

add.png

The additional file will then be available as an attachment in the message.

Refer Q4 of the following Wiki for further info on these functionality.

Sender File Adapter Frequently Asked Questions - Process Integration - SCN Wiki

2. Receiver main folder

The target local folder is in PI or ECC. Will you be using NFS as the receiver channel?

If NFS is the receiver channel then it does not support attachment. As such you will need to split the file into two separate interface, with one of them using the PayloadSwapBean to swap the attachment into the main payload.

About the renaming, this is the harder part without ESR. You will need to resort to scripts of adapter module. IMHO, you should just go for message mapping in ESR to change the name using Dynamic Configuration. If you insist on no ESR, you can consider deploying my custom module below and try using regex as shown in Scenario 4.

DynamicAttributeChangeBean - The no-mapping solution to changing Dynamic Configuration ... dynamically!

3. Receiver archive folder

Lastly, I'm guessing you want to archive at the receiver system and not the target system, right? Unfortunately, receiver channels do not have archive feature. If you want to, you can split the message out and use a separate receiver channel to archive the file.

Fixed Assets does not allow a document row containing same asset

Anyone know what is the logic that a document (e.g AP Invoice, Fixed Assets Capitalization etc.) does not allow same asset code, it prompt 'Document row containing same asset; specify a different asset'.

Bex query prompt saves/keeps values

Hi, Bex query has Month, Company and Personal area variables among which Personal area is optional and when run in webi user enters values and save the report, this keeps personal area values. I would like to know how I would remove this functionality.

If this was a webi prompt I could simply go to 'prompt properties' and un check 'keep last values selected', what setting is needed on Bex side

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Re: How to design and implement terminating event for custom transaction

>and the WF instead of getting cancelled, is starting as a new one i.e. treating it as a change.

This part is a bit confusing? I would guess that the existing workflow instance gets cancelled, but a new workflow instance gets started, right?

You could still let the new workflow instance start, but you could add a new condition/check to the beginning of the workflow, which would check if the service entry sheet has been deleted, and if yes, then just stop/cancel the workflow.

Another option would perhaps be to change the event the starts the workflow. Change the starting event to something else than CHANGED, for example ZCHANGED, and then somewhere/somehow create this event, only when the service entry sheet really gets changed (not deleted). Or if you can have a control how/when the CHANGED event gets created, add there some kind of check that prevents the event getting created, when the service entry sheet is actually being deleted.

Karri

EWM-MFS: RFC requests take 2-6 secs / Seeking advice

Good day experts,

we are curently testing our MFS setup in the warehouse. Basically we have a sufficient performance for most of the telegrams. I observed however, that in certain situations EWM takes let's say 3 secs to respond to an inbound telegram (not outbound) while the normal response time is 100-200ms. In such cases I was not able to see any application activity.

I suspect that we had not enough dialog processes configured in the system. I increased them now and set quota for RFCs to 90% (rdisp/max_comm_entries). We'll be testing it this weekend again.

Questions I have:

  • How many dialog processes do you run on your EWM machine? I couldn't find any advice here how to calculate these. We will have 384GB main memory on the future machine with 16 cores AAA class CPUs. In the test machine 8 cores and 64GB RAM I have now increased the amount to 60 DIA. Any info here is very welcome, ideally of course if you run MFS
  • Anything that I should consider for RFC communication in addition? Maybe in the BC area something worth checking? Any magic switch for RFC communication?
  • Is there any way to see a history of RFC connections used? I'm aware of transaction SARFC so far but that's for checking the current load.
  • Anyone here that has observed similar behaviour of EWM-MFS meaning it was responsive except certain unpredictable moments?

Kind regards,

Gunter

How do we differentiate write back badi sent by users or created by Default.LGF?

Just wondering, why don't we just put the amount calculation in the BADI instead of default.lgf? What is the consideration?

Hi Amol,

Thank you for the replied.

Like I mentioned before, access log doesn't include account create date.

Is there a way to include the field ?

Thanks

Re: Cannot create a Tile on SAP Fiori on S/4HANA 1511

Thank you for your advice!

I checked both /IWFND/ERROR_LOG and /IWFND/MAINT_SERVICE but could not find problem.

From /IWFND/ERROR_LOG, we found the following:

  • "An exception was raised." (500)
  • "The request URL or the metadata definition is incorrect." (404)

We lost clue here.

  • The URL was correct (that's why we could create KPIs and evaluation)
  • If the problem is "the metadata definition", what would be that metadata?
Would this mean that the (input) parameters or filters or Catalog name or oData are wrongly configured?

Anybody with any idea?

Hi experts,

Is it possible to maintain Cancellation block on Sales Order?

Because currently, sales order can be canceled even after the related purchase order has been created.

Thanks,
