Dear Experts,
I would like to start a conversation in a project that will be done in our customer, a New General Ledger Subsequent Implementation. This conversation will be use to share the experience, lessons learned and issues that you faced during your New G/L subsequent implementation.
We already have the New G/L active but we are just using the Leading Ledger 0L that is used to report Head Quarters accounting in GAAP principles and our business requested us an additional non-leading ledger to be used for local authorities that have some different account principles for income tax.
Basically, the new non-leading ledger will be a copy of 0L and the user can do some posting just in the new non-leading ledger that we will call 1L - Legal Ledger.
Until I got here, I followed the steps below to collect all information that we need to be ready for New G/L migration
1st - Identify the New General Ledger Migration Scenario
According SAP OSS Note 1227504 - Subsequent implementation of an additional ledger, the New General Ledger Migration should be done by SAP General Ledger Migration Service and they asked two initial requirement:
- Fill out the Questionnaire for Subsequent Implementation of Further Functionality within SAP General Ledger
- Prepare a business blue print with your business requirement.
To fill out the questionnaire, you have to identify the Scenario of your New GL migration that is defined from 1 to 8:
- Scenarios from 1 to 5 are related to the Classic to New G/L migration
- Scenarios from 6 to 8 are related to subsequent implementation of further functionality
After look at 1070629 - FAQs: Migration to General Ledger Accounting (new), we identified that our scenario is number 07 - Subsequent implementation of a further ledger.
2nd - Filling out the Questionnaire for Subsequent Implementation
The questionnaires can be found at the following link http://service.sap.com/GLMIGand it is mandatory to have this done to start the SAP New G/L Migration Service.
3rd – Check General Ledger Accounts for consistency
According to OSS note 1592904 before starting the first test migration, all general ledger accounts must be checked for consistency.
4th – Technical requirements
The SAP package need to perform the New G/L Migration is the component DMIS and NMI_CONT while the NMI_CONT will install the Migration Cockpit CNV_MBT_NGLM that will be used to run the Migration Scenario.
As per my understanding, the Questionnaire for Subsequent Implementation will be used by SAP for commercial proposal to understand the business requirement and also for technical input to generate Project available at this transaction code to be executed by the customer.
5th – Execution
This is the step that I got and need your feedback about the New G/L Migration, could you please share your experiences with this job and previous steps if I missed something?
Thank you all,
Gabriel Coleti
In fact, i executed my method in WebDynpro (forget to give this information ) and in WebDynpro there is no SAPGUI so this is why it does not work.

Hi Jian,
What I understand from the so far product reviews :
1.BW-BPC Layer for Data load is gone - less interfaces
- this means no dimensions required but you will be dealing with BW infoobjects for master data,
-transaction data now can be directly loaded in BW layer
-Properties can be maintained just like classical but in slightly different way
2.BW Cube (Transactional) will be used as consolidation model - the way you do in embedded planning (where you create a planning cube in BW and make it model in bpc)
-Here the data will be stored in Periodic mode not like YTD (again it can be handled with code etc. but looks like its half way through in product development)
3.BEX Query Designer and Analysis for Office will be used for Report Development and Analysis.
4.Some features of like Ownership Calculation, Data Manager Packages etc. are not available and will be done with tasks etc. But again I think these are getting refined and will have better usability and lesser complexity.
5.Some features of US Eliminations, Equity Pickup are yet to be available.
All in all it promises to be good product with best of both worlds, let's see when it gets released with full features.
I saw one nice blog post on sdn which gives you good snapshot:
SAP BPC 10.1 Embedded Model - A Snapshot of Consolidation Functionality

Hello everybody,
I have a requirement:
I have to set priority field mandatory for a particular Notification type only ih change mode (activity category V).
In SPRO, in field selection, it is possible to use only one Influencing ( Notification type or Activity category ), not both.
is it necessary an ABAP develp. for this requirement ?

Try:
(NOT(ISNULL({ZPY_C02_Q14_NEW.CPF})) OR {ZPY_C02_Q14_NEW.CPF} <> 0)

Hi Coco,
If you want to use GEP to any other document, just is it to design your crystal report as source? I mean to use database tables you want to retrieve data from. And if it's possible please send your contact to my e-mail.
Dear friends,
I have done all configuration and master data maintained for activity cost calculation in process order,in that only water price is not capturing in process order costing view.
Please find the screen shot and suggest me how to solve the issue.
Water = volume – L
1, COR1-(process order) – Costing View.
In the above screen shot the water price is capturing as “0”.
2, C202 IN RECIPE VIEW.
Here we have maintained everything properly.
3, Price updated in kp26 for the activity type 500247=1000 L.
4,Parameters for water 5000247 =1000L =40 RS
In SAP we have matained the dimention as Volume for water.
5,Water Volume = L
6,Standard value key formula
7, Costing Formula for water.
Thanks&Regards,

Hi,
In our system Approve Requsition fiori app was extended. I need to change the application. For that I want to import the already extended application to my Web IDE from our ABAP gateway. When I import the extended application with using menu ( File->Import->Application From SAPUI5 ABAP Repository ), it doesn't allow me to use the Extensibility Pane. It is grayed out ( Tools -> Extensibility Pane ) .
How can I import an already extended fiori application and use Extensibilty Pane?

You can re-activate the tables in SE11. Do not change the tables there; only re-activate.
Hi Jan,
I'd be interested in hearing more about your requirement for MQTT and your use case. We've been trying to gauge the demand for MQTT, to determine how/if/when MQTT support should be on our roadmap, making it standard, rather than requiring a custom adapter. Insight into your needs would be helpful. Feel free to take the conversation offline - you can email me at jeff.wootton@sap.com

Hi All
Rule allows to assign Action in the "then" or "else" action of IF logical function
But it looks like it doesn't fire them.
Why?
I assigned Rule in the SubAction-Execution Rule
Rule must fire one of action that show Dialog Message but not message Shows.
Here is FindScheduleID_SubAct2 - subaction
FindScheduleID_SubAct_ExecutionRule - Rule with IF condition and two actions. One of which must be called.
Hi,
I know that it is possible to modify XML namespace and prefix in a SOAP receiver channel using XMLAnonymizerBean module.
But how can I handle this in a synchronous scenario, having a SOAP sender channel with QoS "BE"?
I already tried this two solutions:
- using XMLAnonymizerBean in SOAP sender channel doesn't affect the response payload;
- using an XSLT mapping on the response section of my operation mapping leads to an error
Thanks, regards.
Dear All,
I have been looking through the available topics, documention and customizing. I was not able to find a answer to solve my issue.
The question is about PO line items that have the final delivery indicator checked .
When I cancel the receipt for the PO (MIGO for goods with movement 102 or ML81N for service entry sheet) , the final delivery indicator is automatically unchecked on the PO.
I would like to know if there is a standard customizing that allows me to define wheter or not the final delivery indicator is unchecked whil cancelling a receipt.
Could you please help me with this issue.
Regards,
Hervé
Hi all, got a couple other threads going on trying to get some information about this.
In essence - many clients are using Business Objects Analysis for Excel as a front end tool to connect directly to HANA. In version 1.x, the connection was made with ODBC, which means that the requests were sent directly using SQL, which could be traced and then subsequently various performance analysis could be done on these queries.
Now in versions 2.x, the connection is HTTP and the requests are sent using the InA framework. What this means is that the traditional forms of performance analysis are no longer available since there is no SQL. What we end up with is a JSON style request (sample attached).
What I am now looking for is a way to get a performance analysis (VizPlan) look from these requests. Without any way to do this, it will be nearly impossible to troubleshoot slow Analysis for Office queries.
1) Has anyone experienced or solved this problem?
2) Does anyone have a way to simulate the execution of this InA request and/or translate to SQL or a cs plan?
Regards,
Justin
Example of the InA request

Hi Ugur ,
Thanks for the Example it is what i needed, But there is a small problem, i have binded the list using odata services.
i am reading the odata service and setting the data to a array variable as u can see in the below code:
Code:
var data = odata.results; |
var jsonmodel = new sap.ui.model.json.JSONModel();
jsonmodel.setData(data);
sap.ui.getCore().byId("List_ID").setModel(jsonmodel); |
now when i add and remove items empty items are getting appended,Please find the image useful.
thanks
