How to prepare SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence 4.1

Hello everyone

 

I want to prepare my SAP Certified Application Associate Business Objects Web Intelligence 4.1, but I am a little confuse how to do it. I'm doing now the courses in the Sap Learning Hub, but I read in this forum the people can download some books, but I can't see  how to get them. Also I would like to know how the people practice for the test. I would to prepare this in one or two months. Also I want to ask if somebody knows a place in Florida that prepare people for the exam.

Hi Anurag!

 

1. You could use pre-defined interfaces and communication channels for your WS systems if you have just a few of them and their FDQN's/ip-addresses are constant. Then in receiver determination you could select receiver system according to your ECC data.

2. You could try to use Directory API to change communication channel parameters.

3. You could try to write your own SOAP client java code (just an idea ).

4. Some kind of "crazy mind" : on Windows server system(don't know how about Unix/Linux) you could try to use hosts file to set given ip-address for WS system's DNS name with java UDF or java mapping and in Communication Channel settings use that DNS name in URL string.

Hi,

 

Only way, you have to delete the operation in work order. of course planned cost will get affected, when you delete the operation.

 

if you want to delete the PR and should not affect the planned cost means, delete the PR Operation and create internal operation (without PR).
Planned cost will not get affected.

Hi Deepak,


As of now, RESTful Web Services SDKs is designed for performing operations on Crystal Report for Enterprise, Web Intelligence and the BI Platform. It is the next-generation application programming interface (API) for manipulating and interacting with Web Intelligence reporting residing on your BusinessObjects server.

 

You can get the HTML content of a Dashboard, however you can only do this through Dashboard Designer. Go to File -> Export -> HTML...

 

There is one SDK which is available to use for Dashboard is Dashboards Component SDK which is based on Flex, used for creating custom components.

 

Most of the time, I have seen scenarios where users wanted to show the Dashboard embedded in an HTML page or in a tab of the organization's portals, then we can display the Dashboard using OpenDocument application with BI Platform/REST SDK to embedded in an IFrame on a browser (You can use Java/.NET SDK for the same).

 

Please elaborate more about your requirements.

To make the order balance zero without settlement it will work but my view is fist you test one order and if it allows to change the status  CLOSED then go for a prog dev for closing all old orders becoz that will help to minimize huge manual part...

Hello Biju,

 

Thanks for response. BD tolerance key is already active in our system for the concerned company code but it does not block the invoice if we exceed price through unplanned delivery costs only.

 

Creating new payment term is not feasible because we want invoice block only in cases where price variance is exceeded through unplanned delivery costs, we don't want to block all the invoices.

Current Active Sessions

Dear All,

 

We've implemented custom Fiori client using SMP Kapsel plugins and our architecture is shown in the attached image.

We'd like to know the current active user sessions to know who have logged in to mobile app at any point of time.

Which system or report can help us? How to find the current active sessions? is there any way using SMP or gateway system?


The logical process of the communication with the Mobility server is as below:

  1. Mobile User tries to logon to Mobile application over secure connection to the SMP.
  2. Since the logon control of the application uses SAML2.0, a redirect happens to the iDP with SP information.
  3. SAML Authentication Request with SP details is forwarded to iDP from the mobile application.
  4. iDP checks if the user credentials are valid against the user directory(Active Directory in our case).
  5. Identity of the user is verified and response provided to Microsoft ADFS (IDP).
  6. SAML Successful Assertion with information about the authenticated user is given as response to the mobile app.
  7. The SAML Assertion is sent to SMP. SMP validates the Assertion and creates an x.509 user certificate at runtime to communicate with SAP Netweaver Gateway.
  8. This certificate is used to connect with SAP Netweaver Gateway to retrieve the user specific data.
  9. Response from SAP Netweaver Gateway is received by SMP.
  10. The response is relayed to the mobile application through SMP.

Hi Madhu,

 

I created a expense type as for e.g. "Gain or Loss expenses" and the differential amount needs to be captured in this expense type. We assigned a different GL to it.

It's not an issue, if we want same labels than we use same data element. It's concept of reusability.

Hi again,

 

Thanks for a prompt reply.

 

I have to mention here that both systems have different domanis. for eg.. In the ECC6 system the domain is abcd.com and in the ECCHN system domain is xyz.com. Lastly the url for the portal is also in the abcd.com domain, because of which i feel the EEC6 system is working fine.

 

So do i have to use multi domain sso. In this case, kindly suggest how to configre multi domain sso. We are using a single dispatcher for both.

 

I hope I am clear.
