Well, I am not fimilar to Hana... shame on me...just know some few basics... 
Of course you are right, choosing BKPF (for period) and BSEG so that you can make summation for GLT0 period/GL account.
Anyway, brilliant idea... I should build up knowledge in SAP Hana. This is my "take away" from this quesition. So, thank you very much.
