Hi Ruben

 

Experiences -  In my first hand experience is SAP BI Quality system (from Windows 2003 /MS Sql 2005 to windows 2008 Enterprise server with MSCS / MS Sql 2008 R2),  and we want to migrate all production(SAP BI,EP & XI ) systems to HA environment.

 

Suggestion - Since you are using the Microsoft platform it’s very easy way to do the system copy method either Backup/restore or Attach/ detach,

 

Advice - To get the first hand experience better you can try out in your new hardware with different SID and also you follow the links which i already communicated in my privies message

.NET Web Form App

Hello,

I have a .NET Web Form app (PB 12.5) developed on a WinXP machine which regularly starts on IIS running @localhost.

I have packaged the app into a .msi file and installed on a new WinXP production server (sounds aged, but it is a specific customer's requirement).

Basically two identical machines, with the 2nd not running any PB stuff.

However, after installing the MSI package, an error affecting web.config pops up, see attached snapshot.

Any clue would be highly appreciated.

Hi,

As you have configured SPnego and you are on windows IE with advance settings option enable integrated windows authentication ticked on. So as soon as you trigger the url of your portal it should single signon. In Sharedpoint cant you given a link which just points to portal and Portal open in new screen with SSO.

Hi Tarun,

the Web Services as part of a standard delivery can already get tested as part of the Customer Validation Program.

I'm not 100% sure if you still can register for this, but in principle this is an option to "play" with the Web Services in an early stage.

Hi,

 

Use BAPI_PO_GETDETAIL1 with delivery address flag as "X" and PO number, you will get the address in parameter  POADDRDELIVERY. You can test it from SE37.

 

if you want to fetch the same using select statements then below is the explanation.


If an address number (adrnr) is not entered when a PO is created then, the delivery address is populated from the plant (from the line item). So, you have to check the fields adrnr/adrn2 in ekpo. If these two fields are blank then pick adrnr from T001W WITH PLANT FROM ekPO as restriction.


If the ADRNR is empty means, the Third party delivery is not required but the actual requestor address is to be considered.

So what ever delivery address maintained for a PO can be obtained directly by using FM "BAPI_PO_GETDETAIL1" in your extractor enhancement logic and fill the desired fields accordingly. if you have seperate fields like name then fill from the output parameter of bapi.

Hello Bernhard,

 

Thanks for sharing the details some time back. I need some more clarification.

 

My client does not the depreciation based on the units of production/remaining units of Prod for next 6 years or till 2020. I still believe that this can be achived by maintaining the units in AO25.

 

My Client also recently mentioned that their depreciation base is always on Net Book value. When I tested previously in the system, it takes Gross book value.

 

Could you please let me know how we can calculate the Deprecaition base on the Net book value???

Hi Venkat,

 

Fiscal Year/Period (0FISCPER) is mapped to the Posting Date, and therefore the first InfoObject mapped in this sequence is 0FISCPER from the posting date and it will get the right period/year combination from the posting date. The note in the help page sounds correct because if the 0FISCPER is mapped to Posting Date, the other two InfoObjects should get the correct values of year and period. The date that drives all this mapping is the posting date and this should capture the period in the right year.

Hi Abhilash,

 

It depends on the timezone settings of the computer interacting with the system and viewing the report. My computer is 5 hours before GMT so mine is minus 5 hours off. The Hawaii machine I believe is 9 hours off.

 

The GMT machines are correct.

I just ran another test within my VB.NET Project.

 

Rather than preview, I used the .ExporttoDisk method and exported the report using the 'CrystalDecisions.Shared.ExportFormatType.CrystalReport' method and saved the report as .rpt.

 

I then opened this exported .rpt file using Crystal Reports 2008 (Designer).  Upon opening the report, the following message appeared:

Ok.  I'll buy this because the original report that was run was created in the Designer Crystal Reports 2008, but the VB.NET project (when run) used the upgraded SAP Crystal Reports, developer edition for Visual Studio SP6 components to create the exported .rpt file.  So, when I open it, I will get this message.

 

I click OK, and the report opens in my Crystal Reporst 2008 Designer.  I check the datasource for this report, and I see that the VB.NET app correctly changed the datasource database from what was stored in the report to the database I was actually running the report for.  And, the data is correct.  So, why isn't the update viewer in my vb.net app able to display this report?

But, I have already upgraded my (SAP Crystal Reports, developer edition for Visual Studio) to SP6 by executing CRforVS_13_0_6.exe

 

I then opened my existing VB.NET project that pointed to the Crystal for .NET Methods (v12), removed the v12 references and added the new SP6 (v13) references.

 

I compiled my project (the Target framework (all configurations): is set ot .NET Framework 4 and I have tried compiling with the Target CPU set to x86 and then x64, but still received the error).

 

I think I need to get this successfully running in the VB.NET project before I can deploy to runtime. Correct?

Dear Ingo,

 

thanks for your reply - that's also the only work around I could imagine.

And now that I learned how to hide design panel parts for a specific datasource only,

I wil do it via separate filter components within the worksheet.

Hi Sonal,

 

SE38

Open the program in Display mode

Click the Sprial @ icon  (Enhancements)

Menu Go To - Edit - Show Explicit Enhacnements

Clck on the Activate enhancements button

 

I assume you are NOT clicking the main activate button.  Click on the Activate enhancements button ony

Hi all,,

I have trried tostr() and cstr() functions it is not taking what to do?
