You have to LOOP into your generated field catalog and move SELTEXT to other text fields as SCRTEXT_L/M/S or REPTEXT.
(Better use data elements than predefined fields, those shouldonly be usedtemporarily)

Use a Group Selection Formula with this code:

An even better solution is to use a SQL expression field as that gets in only records that equal max year for each group.

That's right, although for a support pack update, I'm not sure if the jobs even get suspended. In the past, when doing this with SPAM, there was no shadow instance to worry about, so it wasn't an issue. In upgrades, when there typically is a shadow instance, things are much more "shut down" in the system (jobs suspended, etc) than is often the case with support pack updates (though perhaps those should be just as much "shut down").
So in future I will definitely keep an eye out for it. Stopping the data supplier should be added to the tool and/or listed as a manual step in the guide to prevent inconsistent landscape and software component data from being replicated (or perhaps it already is and I missed it). I'm going to tag Boris Rubarth to get his take on it, as he is a key player in the development and maintenance of the SUM tool.
Deleting the extra instance in SLD was very easy, and I watched it replicate to LMDB very quickly, and it immediately disappeared upon refresh from the managed system configuration tool. However, it later showed up in diagnostics agent administration, as well, as a warning about a system path not being reachable by the agent (it was trying to reach \usr\sap\SID\DVEBMGS03, which doesn't exist), and so I had to edit the agent landscape paths to remove that as well).
Although the problem is long since solved in my system, as described above, I will keep the question open for a few more hours to see what Boris or others may have to add.

I think i should be more clear on this
1. yes, i can understtand that in HANA studio-> backup catalog if we select the catalog ->right click and then delete option is there. -> I am not at all concerend about this.
2. I am not bothered about the data & log backup's becoz every customer will keep it external disk/tapes.
3. What i am bothered is
There are many logs(transaction logs) that are getting generated for every 5 mins (savepoint_tim = 300sec not sure about the correct parameter name but, it will be like that.). These are getting stored from many long time under /$dir-instance/backup/log---- I am bothered about these logs.

Please note that the report I am using using static headings at the top which have been created using member recognition. An enhanced view of the report is below. I currently hide the rows which show the measure (Periodic/YTD) and date in Excel.

I have just tried to add local members to the report and attach it to the row axis and this adds the spaces but between the relevant members. How to do i add the headings "Actual", "Plan" and "Variance"?

We are using SALERT_CREATE RFC in PI 7.0(Dual Stack) to send customized alert to user. Now as we are migrating the interface to SAP PI 7.4 (AEX) single stack we are looking at similar solution in SAP PI 7.4.
Our requirement is to send customized alert in SAP PI 7.4 (AEX) as similar as the way it is configured in existing SAP PI 7.0 version for interface by calling RFC SALERT_CREATE via udf.
So let us know if there is any web service or method that will fulfil the functionality like what RFC SALERT_CREATE was doing in SAP PI 7.0.
So far I have gone through the below stuff but didn't not help me.
Let me know if any one have the solution.It would be really a great help.

Dear all,
I have a query regarding the FI-GL, FI_AP and FI-AR(If any other modules related BI business content extractors).
Earlier I have implemented 0FI_GL_4, 0FI_AP_4,0FI_AR_4 datasources and its related dsos and cubes and then reports.
Now my question regarding the new business content for these areas.
What was the new old old business content for BI extractors and what are the new extractors? Does is there any difference with the new extractors in terms of Old?
Which means OLD extractors are obsolete?
I have been searching various threads since morning and there was no proper information found yet.
Can any one show my light on this with your experience.

Yes you can change the connection. However also change the table qualifier if needed. This is require to change when your database name is different. Right click on the table, there you can change the database name from A to B.
